REVIEW
This year's Manchester Pride festival saw some fantastic acts take to the main stage!

Friday kicked off with DJ sets from the gorgeous former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler followed by Boy George.

Saturday's highlight was the beautiful Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Sunday featured various acts and performances throughout the day, finishing off with a truly electric set from former Moloko singer Roisin Murphy who certainly drew in the crowds!

Monday brought us what proved to be this year's must-see, much anticipated performance... Alphabeat filled the main stage arena and delivered a crowd-pleasing, energetic performance during their 40 minute set.

The surprise of the weekend in the form of the Big Brother's Little Brother cameras coming along as freshly evicted housemate Nicole took to the stage to dance alongside X Factor boyband Avenue! Wave for Channel 4 everyone!

Pride 2008 finally drew to a close with a set from former M People singer Heather Small.

Other acts from the weekend included brilliant tribute acts to Amy Winehouse, Madonna, Abba and Cher. Pride favourites Nikki French, Sally Jacks and Rowetta delivered fabulous sets, as did Geekgirl and Client. You'll also find The Whiskey Cats and Four Poofs and a Piano amongst this selection of photographs.
