The brainchild of Lulu, this year’s show welcomes back pop diva and star of Channel 5’s Don’t Stop Believing, Anastacia, and introduces British soul singer and star of M People, Heather Small to the sisterhood.
A favourite with fans young and old, the music extravaganza mixes high-octane, high camp, get-up-and-dance, feet-just-can’t-keep-still songs, against a backdrop of breathtaking glamour and fun, fun, fun! The show kicks off in Edinburgh on the 22nd November and tours until 13th December 2010.
Here Come The Girls is centred on the three superstar voices - Lulu, Anastacia and M-People’s Heather Small - each with their own unique sense of style, humour and musical heritage. Celebrating all that it means to be a woman we defy anyone not to dance!
Such has the success been for Here Come The Girls that the producers are in talks with European and North American promoters to take the show oversees in 2011.
Lulu says:
“I can’t wait to do another Here Come the Girls tour with my girl Anastacia and welcome Heather to the sisterhood”.
Anastacia says:
"I can't wait to get into rehearsals for Here Come The Girls. The Sisterhood is Back Part 2!!".
Heather says:
“I am so excited about being a part of this fabulous show; all the music, glitz and glamour is right up my street and to be performing with Lulu and Anastacia will be fantastic. GIVING HOPE TO THOUSANDS
Award winning Fundraising guru Tracy Cosgrove has given hope to thousands of youngsters in Thailand through the Melissa Cosgrove Children's Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation which she set up after seeing at first hand the terrible conditions in which many are forced to live.
Her transforming work in orphanages, street children's projects, and for Aids and disabled youngsters, has received international recognition - and inspired hundreds of people who have been touched by her courageous story.
Now based in Pattaya, Thailand the MCCF team is working alongside the booming construction industry to continue giving hope and improving the lives of children living with their parents in the many squalid labour camps around the cities of Pattaya and Bangkok.
The starting point is to try and give the child...
‘The day in the life of a child’
A decent meal... Some new clothes...
A fun swim... An education... And day care centres... Very basic things which we take for granted in the West but which these children do not receive...

An Evening of carols and performance in Chester Cathedral, 9th December 2009
Heather Small, Voice of M People performed at a beautiful evening of carols and performance at the Magnificent Chester Cathedral…In aid of Macmillan Cancer SupportSupported by The Bank of America’s Fraud Department & Moneysupermarket.com, Macmillan Cancer Support’s annual Christmas Carol Concert at Chester Cathedral on Wednesday 9th December will be yet another amazing evening of Carols by Candlelight with special guest performer Heather Small, the voice of Manchester based band M People which sold over 10 million albums worldwide.
It will be an opportunity to celebrate anyone who has supported Macmillan however big or small!
The evening will be compared by Smooth Radio and there will be performances from the fantastic Heather Small, The City of Chester Brass Band, Centenary Theatre Company, Harmony in Blue & Ensemble Cymru. Not forgetting Diane Tice, a cellist who launched her professional music career with a performance of Elgars Cello Concerto in the United Nations Headquarters in New York in 1992 will be welcoming you into the Cathedral as you arrive with her beautiful sound.
And of course the evening would not be complete without a great selection of Christmas Carols for everybody to sing along to and enjoy.
Aimee Scally, Fundraising Manager said:
“We are all extremely excited about the Carol Concert. We have some wonderful performances again this year, and we hope to make it as magical as possible for everybody who attends. To have Heather perform is absolutely fantastic; It would be wonderful to see as much support for the event, the performers and most importantly people affected by cancer as possible.”
A great big thank you to The Bank of America, Fraud Department, and Moneysupermarket.com who are supporting the event; helping to make it possible. Adrian Stearns, European Fraud Executive at Bank of America said:
“Bank of America is delighted to be able to support the work of Macmillan Cancer Support and this year’s concert in particular”.
Sarah Hayden at Moneysupermarket.com said, “We are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support’s Christmas Carol Concert as part of our community initiative to help local charities. We are delighted to be supporting this event; Macmillan does a fantastic job of helping those whose lives have been affected by cancer."
To continue this vital work and to achieve our goal of reaching EVERYONE affected by Cancer, we need the support of people from the local area, no matter how big or small. I am sure you will agree that as one in three of us are diagnosed with Cancer at some point in our lives, cancer is something that affects us all.

Heather Small to play City Hall date
Big voice ... Heather Small.
Published Date: 05 August 2009
By Gary Welford
SOUL singer Heather Small spent much of last year appearing on our TV screens as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.
But the voice behind such hits as Moving On Up and One Night In Heaven is back to doing what she does best - singing.
She has teamed up with the Snake Davis Band to head out on the road this autumn, and will appear at Newcastle City Hall on November 26.
As part of M People, who sold 10 million albums around the world, she became one of the seminal British voices of the 1990s.
Named after the initials of their founder, DJ Mike Pickering, they emerged from the Manchester club scene, and enjoyed five years of success, racking up 20 Top 20 hits.
Small's distinctive voice was the group's major selling point, and they won the Mercury Music Prize in 1994 and were named best British dance act at the Brits in 1994 and 1995.
They enjoyed eight Top 10 singles in a row in a phenomenally-successful two years, culminating in Search For The Hero, which was later used in the TV advertising campaign for the Peugeot 406.
After touring and promoting the Bizarre Fruit II album for 18 months, the band took a break in 1996, but it didn't leave the chart until April 1997, becoming one of the biggest sellers of the decade.
They made some live outdoor UK performances called the Summer M Parties at Crystal Palace, Alton Towers, and Old Trafford, the latter to a crowd of 60,000 at an event celebrating the Euro 96 football championships.
Small gave birth to her son, and, after the closure of their deConstruction label by BMG, the band founded their own label, M People Records, to release their next album, Fresco, in 1997.
It again peaked at No2, going on to sell 1.1 million copies and being certified platinum, and the following year's compilation The Best of M People did the same, despite outselling it.
The band then took a long break, with Small concentrating on raising her son, though she couldn't stay away from music for long, and released a solo album, Proud, in 2000, which reached a respectable No12 and achieved gold sales.
It seemed M People had split up, but they reconvened for a short UK tour in 2005 to promote a re-packaged Greatest Hits, and Small continued to pursue a solo career, releasing a second, less-successful album, in 2006.
Proud, which had become her signature tune, was used as the soundtrack to the successful London 2012 Olympic bid, and Small went all ballroom last year by appearing on the hit TV series Strictly Come Dancing.
Music was always her first love, however, and she appeared at Buckingham Palace for the 2012 Olympic Handover party, the Manchester Pride festival, and at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium for the Welsh 6 Nations Victory Celebration.
She also went back to basics, teaming up with the Snake Davis Band for three sell-out nights at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London at the end of last year.
Now she is hitting the road again with them, performing blues and jazz standards, along with some of M People's best-loved songs and her solo hits.
Tickets for the City Hall show, priced £22.50 and £25, are available now from 261 2606.

Heather wows IndigO2!
Heather Small wowed the crowd at IndigO2 last night with a polished concert of M People classics, solo tracks (Including the runaway hit "Proud") and some of Heather's favorite covers. Highlights include an emotional yet short lived tribute to her long terms fans "Nobody But You", a knock out performance of "How Can I Love You More" and a unexpected wardrobe malfunction. There is no doubting that this summer's tour will be sizzling.
